Questions worth asking before you book anyone.

Twenty-seven answers about the service, the scope, the limits, and how we price. Where an honest answer is “it depends,” we say what it depends on.

The service

What is a backyard reset?

A backyard reset is a coordinated cleaning, detailing, and finishing service for the outdoor areas included in your plan. Instead of treating one surface in isolation, we consider how the patio, pool deck, furniture, screens, kitchen, turf, and surrounding details work together.

Is this the same as pressure washing?

Pressure or soft washing may be one part of a reset, but the service is broader. Depending on the property, a reset can also include furniture and cushion care, outdoor-kitchen detailing, windows and screens, turf, pavers, and final placement of approved movable items.

Do I need a complete reset?

No. You can request one focused service. A complete reset is most useful when several areas need attention or the property must be ready for a specific date or standard.

What areas do you serve?

My Backyard Reset serves supported locations across Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties. Share the property address or ZIP code so the team can confirm availability.

Do I need to be home?

Not always. If access, scope, pets, alarms, utilities, and communication are arranged in advance, the team may be able to complete approved work without the owner present.

How do I request service?

Request a walkthrough for a complete or recurring plan, submit photos for a focused estimate, or call 561-351-9601. The team will confirm service-area availability and the next step.

Pricing and plans

How do you price a reset?

Pricing depends on the included areas, square footage, materials, condition, access, preparation, treatment needs, travel, and whether the service is one-time or recurring. You receive a defined scope after the assessment.

Can I get an estimate from photos?

Focused services may be possible to estimate from clear photos and accurate measurements. Complex spaces, multiple services, specialty materials, coatings, drainage concerns, or difficult access may require a walkthrough.

Do you offer recurring service?

Yes. Routine plans are built around the areas that need regular attention and the deeper work that happens seasonally or by condition. The recommended cadence follows the property and how it is used.

How often should an outdoor space be cleaned?

There is no single interval for every property. Shade, waterfront exposure, landscaping, irrigation, screen enclosures, pets, occupancy, material, and expectations all matter. The first reset gives the team a better basis for recommending cadence.

How long does a reset take?

Timing depends on scope, condition, access, materials, treatment and drying needs, and crew plan. The written proposal or scheduling confirmation provides an expected window.

Method, materials and limits

Do you use pressure washing on every surface?

No. Pressure is one tool. The team identifies the surface and condition before selecting an approved pressure, soft-wash, or detail-cleaning method.

Can you remove every stain?

No responsible company can promise that before inspection. Some buildup cleans well; some discoloration is permanent, below the surface, related to minerals or rust, affected by a previous coating, or connected to material damage. The team explains realistic expectations before work.

Can you clean outdoor cushions and performance fabrics?

The team can assess approved outdoor cushions and fabrics. The label, material, construction, condition, stain, and drying needs determine whether a service is appropriate.

Will cushions be dry when the service is complete?

Drying time depends on the material, construction, weather, airflow, and process. The team provides placement and use instructions after the service.

Do you move outdoor furniture?

Normal movable pieces can be included when agreed in the scope. Oversized, fragile, anchored, electronic, filled, or unusually heavy items may need owner preparation or a separate specialist. Confirm this during the walkthrough.

Do you clean inside grills and appliances?

The standard outdoor-kitchen detail focuses on the accessible surfaces stated in the written scope. Internal appliance cleaning, disassembly, gas or electrical service, hood and duct work, and repairs are not included unless explicitly offered by a qualified provider.

Do you clean pool cages and screen enclosures?

Accessible screens and enclosure details may be included after condition and access are assessed. Fragile or damaged screening, high work, and structural or repair needs can change the scope.

Can you clean artificial turf used by pets?

Pet use is important to disclose. The team can assess debris, drainage, infill, odor location, surface condition, and the appropriate approved process. No treatment can compensate for a failed drainage or installation system.

Do you seal pavers?

Paver resealing can be evaluated as part of the service. Existing sealer, moisture, joint condition, staining, drainage, weather, and finish preference must be assessed before a recommendation.

Are your products safe for children, pets, plants, and pools?

Product selection, dilution, application, rinsing, dwell time, and access instructions are specific to the job. Tell the team about children, pets, sensitivities, landscaping, water features, and special materials before approval. Follow all keep-clear and drying instructions.

The visit

What should I do before the team arrives?

The proposal or appointment confirmation explains access, pets, vehicles, fragile items, alarms, gates, utilities, irrigation, and any owner preparation. Do not move heavy or fragile items unless instructed.

What happens if it rains?

Some work can proceed in light weather; other services need a suitable dry period or safe conditions. The team will communicate if weather changes the schedule or the required cure and dry window.

Can you prepare a property before we return to Florida?

Yes, arrival readiness is a core use case when access and scope are arranged in advance. The team can plan the included outdoor areas and completion communication around the arrival date.

Do you work with luxury rentals and property managers?

Yes, subject to service area, scope, scheduling, and capacity. A repeatable standard, access process, invoicing, and documentation should be defined before recurring work begins.

Are you licensed and insured?

My Backyard Reset is a registered Florida business entity and carries liability insurance; a certificate is available on request. We do not describe ourselves as a licensed contractor, because outdoor cleaning and detailing is not contractor-licensed work in Florida.

Do you guarantee the work?

We stand behind the scope we agreed to in writing. If an included area was missed or does not match the standard we described, tell us within the stated reporting window and we will return to address it. We do not promise universal stain removal, restoration, or results outside the written scope.

Verify before launch

The licensing, insurance and guarantee answers are the two the brief flagged for replacement with precise approved language. They are written here conservatively: entity registration is distinguished from professional licensing, and the guarantee is bounded by the written scope. Both still need counsel and owner sign-off, along with the absentee-service policy, fabric capabilities, drying protocol, enclosure height limit, sealing warranty, and weather policy.
